Lardar's job is deciding dinner, not collecting you. Your kitchen lives on your phone. There's no account to create, and we don't sell or share data for advertising. Ever.
When you photograph your kitchen, those photos are sent securely to our AI provider to work out what's in them (ingredients, and best-before dates when legible). They're used for that answer and not used to train AI models. The photos you keep — like your supper snaps — are stored on your device.
Your inventory, shopping list, cookbook, cooked history, preferences and supper photos are stored locally on your device. Delete the app and they're gone.
To see what's working, the app sends bare counts — "a scan happened", "a dinner was cooked" — to our own server. That's the whole list: an event name, a date, a number. No identifiers of any kind travel with them (not even an anonymous device id), so the counts cannot be connected to you or your kitchen — by us or anyone. There's a switch in You → Your data to turn them off. If this ever changes, this page changes first, in plain English.
Lardar has a free lane (five dinners, then one a week, forever) and an optional subscription — £2.99 a month or £24.99 a year — handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card details. Cancel any time, in one tap, inside the app.
If you choose to link Apple Health, meal logs go directly from your phone into Health. We can't read your Health data on any server, because we don't have your data on servers.
